We’ve now used the Five-Minute Coach with more than 250 senior managers. It’s gone down a storm!
After accepting an invitation to give a 40-minute speech at the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments annual conference, my nerves started to kick in and I contacted Glen! His personal coaching, with his logical approach to planning, his astute, perceptive insights into the finer points of public speaking and his calm reassurance all resulted in me delivering a speech of which I could be proud.
I would attribute a significant part of my progress as a coach in the past year to Lynne’s skillful supervision. As a result I have experienced an increased level of coaching maturity, insight, self-knowledge and breadth to my coaching practice.
The Five-Minute Coach has enabled me to help a lot of people help themselves in my organisation this year. As well as being a very practical framework for really effective one to one conversations, it has instilled an approach that can be usefully and respectfully applied in many day to day situations. It unlocks personal power and keeps responsibility for change in the hands of those that seek it. Highly recommended.
The approach helped us to understand exactly what we wanted a major programme to stand for. We developed a common language for the brand, its qualities and values. Doing so allowed us to communicate much more easily, to make decisions and actually to get results.
We are much better able to communicate our objective to the rest of the organisation, decisions are easier to take, energy levels have gone up significantly and we have a shared language for easy communication within the team.
The work has really has helped to bring the team together, opened people up and we have got under the skin of the dynamics of the directors as a group. We have learned a lot about ourselves, and learned to critically assess the performance of the team in a constructive way. We have a better business plan, the directors feel ownership for it and have the awareness of self and others to work as a team to ensure delivery. It’s very positive.
I’m very pleased with the way the HR team has pulled together over the past year and I can see where people are putting their learning into practice – it feels like a very different team.
